NETWORKS / LOCAL CALCULATION
Subnet calculator
Calculate the network, address range, and exact size of an IPv4 or IPv6 subnet.

Understand a subnet calculation
How to use this tool
Enter one IPv4 or IPv6 address followed by its CIDR prefix, then select Calculate subnet. Example buttons fill and calculate a documentation network. Copy network CIDR copies the calculated network; Copy all results includes the displayed fields.
What the result means
Network and prefix identify the complete range. Total addresses counts every address in it; first and last are its endpoints. An IPv4 mask and wildcard describe the same prefix in different forms.
Limits
Ordinary IPv4 host counts exclude network and broadcast endpoints. A /31 point-to-point network has two addresses and a /32 has one. IPv6 has no broadcast address; range size is separate from address allocation and does not verify reachability.
Privacy
Subnet arithmetic runs in this browser with exact integer counts. Your input is not sent to an API. The initial result is computed from the displayed documentation example; copied results leave the page only through your system clipboard.
